Father-Son Comedy.  Some Things Should Stay At Home.
Christopher David Peter Wilcox

Christopher David Peter Wilcox is Virginia's
"biggest" comedian.  Being raised Catholic and a middle child Chris claims to spend his life going around trying to please everybody and then he feels guilty about it.  A clean show with self depricating humor will be appreciated by anybody who struggles with the day to day routines of parenthood, working a day job and trying to be a good husband and a good American.

Always a dapper dresser, Chris would clean up nicely for your next party or corporate event.

 BIO

At an early age Chris knew that he belonged on the stage. The bright lights and an audience were calling his name. After five years Chris hung up his tap shoes recognizing that being winded and never able to remember his steps did not bode well for a future in dance. He does wish that he still had that outfit though!
Chris began stand up comedy in the fall of 2007. Soon after telling his first joke he was hooked. To hear an audience laugh at his material was the ultimate in instant gratification. Soon Chris began seeking every opportunity he could find to get on a stage with a microphone. He is constantly working
on new material and is known to weasel his way onto the stage wherever he can find one. The chase for comedic recognition was fruitful early on as he earned emcee opportunities at his home club, Penguins Comedy Club in Cedar Rapids. One of his more exciting events was the summer of 2008 when Chris booked, promoted and performed in "Comedy For Kids;" a four city tour where Chris and his son Clayton recruited other rising Iowa comics to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network. They raised over $7,000 in four shows. Not bad work for a couple of shmucks! Chris worked charity and amateur all-star events around the state before moving to Virginia in March of 2009.

The move out to the Washington DC area has Chris finding urban living a bit perplexing. He is adapting the best he can and relying on the instincts he learned growing up on the mean streets of the tall corn state. Cursed by the middle child tendency of peacemaking and the ever present guilt resulting from a Catholic upbringing Chris has sought relief from his angst in comedy rather than therapy. Weighing close to 400 lbs. Chris is pound for pound your best value in comedy. If your stage is strong enough he will bless your audience with feel good comedy that anyone who is or has has or had parents will appreciate. Chris has three kids of his own and is confident that if there is a way to mess up a child he has probably done it. Chris provides stand-up comedy with a warm delivery. Not one to rant; Chris will have you sympathetic to his plight where the world seems pitted against him. Chris' delivery gives you the impression that there is a guy on stage who is a bit of an underdog and for some reason you can't seem to avoid rooting for him.

Chris has emceed for Pat Godwin, James Ervin Berry, Sean Morey, Kevin Williams, Brad Williams and The Midnight Swinger. He auditioned in Minneapolis for NBC’s Last Comic Standing and was part of fundraising benefits for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of East Central Iowa, Children's Miracle Network and Penguins Comedy Flood Relief. He is also a graduate of DC Improv Comedy School.
