Comedians to hold Fundraiser for Penguins Comedy Club
Comedians from across the country will be performing a fundraiser to assist Penguins Comedy Club in re-establishing their business after the devastating flood of 2008.
Already confirmed for the event are some of the funniest nationally touring comedians in the country such as Las Vegas Entertainer The Midnight Swinger David Scott. Marge Tackes from Chicago and half of the amazing comedy duo “The Untamed Shrews”. Dwayne Clark from Des Moines and an Atlantic City and Las Vegas regular performer. Nathan Timmel from the Bob and Tom Show, Sirius Raw Dog Comedy and XM radio. Richie Holiday from Minneapolis and regular at all the major comedy clubs in the country. Tim Sullivan who got his start at Penguins Comedy Club and now lives in L.A. and tours the entire country. Also performing are some of the areas brightest and funniest comedians; Danny Franks, Doug Thompson, and Clayton Wilcox.

The Cedar Rapids Flood of 2008 totally wiped out Penguins Comedy Club. The entire club was underwater. The water went all the way up and through the ceiling. They lost everything.
Penguins Comedy Club is a very special club for me and I'm trying to do something to help get the club rebuilt or at least reopened. It's going to take money and time to do both.
